Frequently asked questions

How fast does WERIX respond to quote requests?

WERIX responds to all quote requests within 24 hours. Our AI-powered DFM engine provides instant preliminary pricing, and a senior engineer validates every quote. Send files through the online quote form.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Prototyping starts from a single piece. Sheet metal fabrication has no tooling cost; stamping die cost is amortised over production volume.

What CAD formats does WERIX accept?

We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, and native SolidWorks, Inventor, and Fusion 360 files. STEP is preferred for 3D geometry.

What files should I upload for an accurate quote?

STEP, IGES or a 3D PDF gives us the geometry; DXF or DWG helps for flat parts. Add a drawing with tolerances, surface finish and material if you have one. Quantity, target lead time and any packaging requirement complete the picture.

Does the quote include tooling, finishing and packaging?

Yes. Our quotes are built line by line from material, cutting, forming, finishing, tooling or setup where applicable, and packaging and logistics — so you can compare suppliers component by component rather than on a single number.

Can I get an NDA before sending drawings?

Yes. We sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you upload files. Your drawings are used only to quote and manufacture your order, are not shared with third parties, and can be deleted on request once the project closes.

How do I get an instant sheet metal price?

Upload your CAD file to the sheet metal cost calculator for an indicative price and DFM feedback in seconds, then a senior engineer confirms the firm quote within 24 hours. STEP or IGES gives the most reliable estimate because the geometry can be unfolded and checked.

What should I include with my quote request?

Send the 3D model (STEP/IGES) plus a drawing with tolerances, material, surface finish, quantity, target lead time and packaging. The more the drawing specifies, the tighter the quote - and our engineers will flag anything left open. Start at the quote form.

Is there a cost to get a quote?

No. DFM review and pricing are free with no signup, whether you use the instant calculator or send files by email or WhatsApp. You only pay once a confirmed quote becomes an order.

Can WERIX quote in my currency?

Yes. We quote in USD, EUR or CNY, and work in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French and Spanish. Tell us your incoterm and destination and logistics are built into the line-by-line quote.
